To be a better artist than the day before.
An Artist Statement for me is a living document. It will change regularly
as I wander my way through my work. I am constantly trying to challenge myself while I figure out just what I am doing. There is no agenda;
I am not trying to solve any complex or societal problems. I don't know "art speak" or feel the need for sophisticated jargon. I paint pictures that I want to look at. Within this work is my ongoing experimentation with color. I enjoy taking difficult subjects and examining them in paint, looking at things in a different way as well as seeing how different color combinations affect what we are looking at.
